Experience:
3/06 - 9/06: Project Manager, Pinnacle Prime Contractors, Valdosta, GA
It was Pinnacle Prime’s intentions to use my credentials, experience and skills to
oversee and manage the construction of a Federal Building. After Pinnacle
Prime hired me: they did not get the bid on the Federal building; nor, did they get
the next seven bids to follow. They hired me on the assumption that they would get the bids. I was given two on-going Comfort Inn Hotel projects in which I operated as the Project Manager.

8
/01 - 2/06: Facilities Planning Coordinator / Project Manager,  FAU – Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, Florida
I coordinated the construction projects for the University with the: Architects,
Engineers, Users (University Personnel), and Contractors; along with conducting
regular planned meetings. I met with: codes inspectors, fire marshals, and other
state and county officials to finalize the project for occupation / completion. I
was responsible for the budget and schedule from conceptual through final
warranty walk through.

For a period of 8 months, in conjunction with the responsibility of my own
workload: I acted in the position of building codes enforcement coordinator and
issuances of permits, until the University found a qualified person to fill this
position. I was responsible for the completion of the President’s House, FAU
Blvd., the replacement of the Gym floor and roof, and the De Santis Pavilion.
Also, I worked on: the College of Business, the Lee Street improvement project
and various other minor projects. In addition to coordinating several multi-
million dollar projects at one time: I coordinated simultaneously approximately fifteen to eighteen other small projects in the range of one million and below.
Some of these projects were off campus projects, which, the State of Florida
needed completed.

10/00 - 8/01:  Vice President of Construction, BRS Construction, Tampa, FL
I assisted the developer with quantity and cost analysis for the purchase and renovation of existing high rises. Each project was valued in the $20 to 30 million dollar ranges.

7/99 - 10/00:  Project Administrator of Construction for the State of Tennessee, Heery International
I was the on-site State representative to oversee the construction of the Fire Training Academy and Codes Enforcement School from conceptual to the final walk through. I was directly responsible for all construction projects, coordinates, estimates, and had to monitor and track the progress of the contractor. I met with and conducted meetings with the architectural firms, engineers and government officials on a regular basis. I updated the schedules on a bi-monthly basis, using P3 Primavera. My main function was to protect the State’s interest by keeping the: contractors, engineers and designers accountable. The cost of the project was approximately $20 million.

6/95 - 7/99:  Construction Manager, Bluegreen Corporation
Boca Raton, Florida: Jobsite located in Tennessee
I was the onsite corporate representative in charge of two developments. One development was in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. It was called Laurel Crest Resort. The other project was located in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. It was called Mountainloft Resort. Both resorts had two to five million dollar plus projects going on at any given time in each phase.

My activities included: the development of property infrastructures, budget control and analysis, estimating for acceptance of bids to control cost overruns and review of contracts, along with approval of pay applications for contractors, subcontractors, and engineers. I held meetings with the contractors, subcontractors, interior design consultants, local utility companies, architects, engineers and developers to ensure that the projects were delivered in a timely manner. These projects were time sensitive, and had to be delivered on schedule. I was responsible for the final acceptance of the product / finish level.

5/94 - 6/95:
Project Manager / Estimator, Denark-Smith, Inc., Knoxville, TN
My position was to oversee, estimate and procure the work through competitive bidding and negotiations. I reviewed and interpreted contracts with the owners to give them the understanding and knowledge that the architect and engineers are portraying. I defined and wrote subcontracts change orders and purchase orders. I coordinated the work with the superintendents, architect and owners, during the construction of each project.

1991 - 5/94: Owner / Contractor, South-Face Construction, Loudon, TN
I held general contractors licenses in two states: I was a certified general Contractor in the State of Florida, and General Contractor (BC) in the State of Tennessee. My company bided and accepted work in both states.

1989 - 1991:
Housing Development Supervisor, Knox County Department of Development, Knoxville, TN
Overseen the construction for their housing rehabilitation program.

1981 - 1983: Watts Bar Nuclear Plant, Project Control Engineer/Field Engineer in the Electrical Engineering Department,  Spring City, TN
I worked in the project control, where I was over the estimating group for one year, after which, I worked in scheduling reporting to upper management on a weekly basis onsite. Then, I moved to electrical engineering, where I worked as an Electrical Field Engineer. I prepared work packages and supported the craftsmen in the field.
